I have placed our new Hedgehog house in the Eco garden … I am hoping to add a camera, so we can hopefully see a nesting Hedgehog …

Well we have been VERY busy planting trees, bushes and seeds. 190 trees and bushes all together … starting our own little woodland off 
I for one can’t wait to see how things look at the end of the year!

As some of you may have heard, we have a family of foxes living in the school grounds.
I for one am VERY excited to see if any little cubs arrive and that is why we are going to set up “foxcam”…

Part of being “Eco” is finding natural and free ways of doing things.
As we near the start of the growing season , I am trying to get together the foundation for a good healthy crop…
This is where your eggshells come in … I am hoping to get enough egg shells together to make some natural slug pellets !
I will leave a container next to where the school mini buses are parked.

ANY eggshells would be greatly appreciated ( smashed or not)!

Its getting to that wonderful time of the year, when animals awake from there long winters sleep.
We can all help these animals by putting out a little extra food and fresh water.
There is also the 2012 Hedgehog survey… This is a great way to put your wildlife spotting to great use … All you have to do is register your Hedgehog sightings online at

As you can see,the path is in need of some TLC !!
We need gravel to help drain the water off…
Do you know a builder??
Do they have any unwanted gravel left over from a job ??
Even the smallest amount would help… if everyone gave a bucket of gravel we could fix the path!
Any help would be sooooo much appreciated , and its amazing how kind people can be , if we just ask for a little help !

Wow what a busy start to the week this has been … I hope everyone is getting settled in their new rooms…
I am happy to report that Mr&Mrs Duck are back… I wonder how many ducklings there will be this year ??
The Funky Friday children will be making a safe nesting place for the ducks . To hopefully try encourage them to nest in the Outdoor pond area ,where there is lots of yummy bugs and no loud builders .
Lets hope she lays a healthy,happy clutch of eggs this year !
